California Comic Convention - 2020 Event
The
California Comic Convention
is relocating for its 14th year to the WESTIN SOUTH COAST PLAZA in
Orange County, CA on Sunday, January 26, 2020. This event will
focus on vintage comics and comic book art. Dozens of dealers from across the
U.S. will offer a large selection of items sought-after by collectors and
investors.
Our scheduled guest artists
Jim Steranko ,
Michael Golden,
Erik Larsen ,
Joe Staton and
Renee Witterstaetter. may sketch and will sign during the show.
CGC will be available to take attendees’ submissions and to witness the original
signatures of our guest artists.
In addition, we will raffle dozens of valuable items throughout the day including
CGC graded comics, original comic book pages, guest artist sketches.
Heritage Auctions is a co-sponsor of this show and will be set-up and taking consignments at this event.
Jamie Newbold of
Socal Comics is also a co-sponsor of Jim Steranko and will be selling a Steranko Artists Edition .
Reprints the actual original art from a series of Steranko Strange Tales.
The hardcover books are the same size as twice-up art. Regular price is $175

Special Guest Artists
American graphic artist, comic book writer/artist, comics historian, magician, publisher and film production illustrator.
best known for Strange Tales, Nick Fury, X-Men, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain America.
Michael has been a commercial artist, a comic book artist, an editor for DC Comics a Senior Art Director for Marvel Comics.
His most notable works are: The Micronauts, Mister Miracle, Batman, Nam, Doctor Strange, Avengers, G.I. Joe: Rom and many others.
Joe has been one of the most diverse Comic book artists there are working at many different publishers including Marvel and DC.
He most notable works are: E-Man, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superboy, Legion of Super-Heroes, Dick Tracy comic Strip.
Erik J. Larsen is an American comic book writer, artist and publisher. He is known for his work on Savage Dragon,
as one of the founders of Image Comics, and for his work on Spider-Man for Marvel Comics.
He most notable works are: Amazing Spider-Man, Doom Patrol, Savage Dragon, Spawn, Spider-man.
Renée was Asistant editor Colorist on the Avengers, Spider-Man, and Captain America and others.
She is best known for her work as an editor with John Byrne on the Marvel Comics series The Sensational She-Hulk.
